Peter Meersschaert - Fire Protection Specialist

Peter Meersschaert is a project engineer with the Techniques Department at the Van Looy Group and his speciality is fire protection: sprinkler systems, fire stations, fire hoses, fire-extinguishing equipment, gas-extinguishing systems and fire detection. Peter has designed fire protection concepts for pharmaceutical companies, development and research centres, warehouses and distribution centres as well as offices. Peter was responsible for the fire protection for, among others, Becton Dickinson, Schering Plough, Mechelen Auctions, Waasland Shopping Centre, UCB, Abbott and Janssen Pharmaceutica. Meetings with insurance companies and local authorities form part of his work. For five years, Previously Peter worked for various contractors specialised in sprinklers, first in the maintenance sector, subsequently as a project engineer, where he was responsible for design, calculations, ordering materials and follow-up of sprinkler systems.
