Seminar about new Belgian KB on Firesafety for Industrial Buildings.

The new anex to the Belgian KB about the basic rules for prevention of fire and explosion, to which new industrial buildings should apply to, will be treated (in Dutch) at the Royal Flemisch Engineering Society seminar on the 6th of november 2008. Our Fire Safety expert Peter Meersschaert is one of the speakers that day.

A small impression of the 4 new Belgian postal sorting centres can be seen on the Van Looy Group portfolio web page. Van Looy Group was responsible for the design, engineering and project management of the centres.

Becton Dickinson builds third extension again with Van Looy Group

Whoever is driving on the E17 can see the new silo construction of Becton Dickinson arising in Temse. Van Looy Group is responsable for the construction of the entire scope ot the project, including the feasibility study and engineering. At this moment you can see the silo construction of the first corridors for conditioned storage. Also a miniload for bins has been foreseen next to the pallet warehouse. The automated order assembly from the automated pallet warehouse as well as from the miniload is supported by a pop-up belt sorter. The completion of the building is foreseen in 2008 and it will be operational early 2009.
